Alex is a governance system that runs inside ChatGPT Google Gemini,
structuring executive decisions before execution begins. Alex is in Beta.
If you're paying a manager $100k/yr to run 10 projects, you're likely losing $68,000 every year just because there isn't a 'ruler' to measure their decisions.
Alex is that ruler.
The GenAI Divide: State of AI in Business 2025.
That big problem is
You don't understand business models or how leaders think about running their company. However, you want your work to have a greater impact in the (business) world around you.
You need to start thinking like a business owner.
That's where Alex comes in.
Alex does not create content. Alex works with you to create scenario planning, governance and output guidance, turning scattered thinking into structured business planning.
And, Alex can leverage information in your Google account.
Can't I just do this
Yes! (And no.)
Every time you build a business-impacting project (think campaigns, announcements, plans), you no longer start from zero.Alex walks you through a systematic business decision-making for the exact project you are building. (Alex can even integrate with your corporate governance document in Google Drive.)The output isn't a piece of content. It's a consistent structured framework that includes resources and roles from around your organization, along with two guides:
1. Executive business summary
2. Scenario execution brief (structural only)
You are now the author of an executive-level framework for your next project, and you've created executive-level visibility for your work and your career.
What does
To set up Alex, simply create a new Custom Gem, then add the configuration markdown to the Alex Gem.
Most AI tools are for brainstorming; Alex is for governing.
Watch how we initiate a session by stating:
Alex Scenario: Pricing Change Announcement.
Notice the shift in tone—it's now clinical and surgical.
The end of a session isn't a conversation; it's a documented strategic artifact. Here is the Board-level summary for leadership and the operational brief for your teams.

I recorded my thoughts with light transcription edits below.
Well, good morning. It's Friday, March 6, 2026.It rained quite a bit yesterday and last night. Although this morning, it seems like it's quite nice outside. You'd think that, like, just for a single day of rain that rain boots are probably not necessary. Then you remember you live in New York City, which easily and quickly floods.Anyway, I have rain boots on today. So last weekend, was the first of March. Other than turning over another month, it was significant for Alex... I was planning on a fairly big public push in announcing Alex v1.And then we went to war.Where the war got me sideways wasn't the decision between the Department of Defense dod and Anthropic, rather it was the timeliness of OpenAI message that they have secured a deal with the Department of Defenseopenai. At the time, it seemed like lots of people took a step back from OpenAI and particularly ChatGPT uninstalls. I did the same, thinking that maybe this isn't something I want to support.See, Alex is was using ChatGPT as the backend technology. And using Alex within ChatGPT is was easy. You simply created a Project, uploaded Alex, then Alex is was ready to help with your next planning decision.Since Alex is solely focused on enabling executive decision making governance framework, it's not focused on creating content. And, since there was no content to create, the current model was is really fast. (Which is very important in a decision-making session.)So, back to the war on Iran and OpenAI's rush to work with the Department of Defense...I'm not naive enough to think that there are no defense contracts with other AI companies or technologies. However, I am more concerned about the safeguards that are in place. So I started to question myself during the week. And if I go back and look at the Alex Charter, which, oddly enough, is based off of the Anthropic Constitution... Where do I land with Alex?Do I go forward with it and say, eh... There's government contracts with all these AI vendors. It's not for me to decide on what should be used and what should not be used or how relationships look outside of Alex. And then I think, wait a minute. Isn't part of the reason why I'm building Alex is to reflect my own values and ethics and morals? So, this week I've been looking at what it would take to port Alex over to Google Gemini. It's going to take a little bit of work for sure. However, with the coming Google Gemini + Apple relationship coming, there's another AI safeguard. And I do trust that Apple has user privacy protection at its core.I'm committed to releasing version 2 of Alex with the backend technology ported from ChatGPT to Gemini.

openai: OpenAI amends Pentagon deal as Sam Altman admits it looks ‘sloppy’
uninstalls: ChatGPT uninstalls surged by 295% after DoD deal
How can I try
The following gives you an idea of how Alex works: Structured, actionable and strategic. However, it doesn't create the full scenario execution without the actual configuration and scenario files.
SCENARIO SNIPPET: PRESS RELEASE
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Constraints | Aligns with business model priorities; Reinforces revenue durability; Avoids feature-driven messaging; Includes measurable outcomes |
| Prompt samples | Product/Project name; Target audience; Primary problem solved; Revenue model; Expected revenue impact; Sales review |
| Alex must | Clarify positioning; Confirm margin alignment; Ensure cross-team awareness; Validate quote alignment with business priorities |
| Output | Business executive summary; Press release plan |
| Alex will | Define structure, requirements and checkpoints |
| Alex will not | Write the full press release, write the full campaign, replace the operator |
This snippet is illustrative only. The full Alex solution does not write content automatically. It provides the framework, governance checkpoints and execution architecture that allow your team to produce press releases efficiently, aligned with cross-team priorities.
See it in action
Copy/paste the above table into your ChatGPT, then run this prompt:
Create a press release announcing a new product/service, including outline quotes from a Sales lead, and Executive sponsor and a product lead.
